On 12 May 2026, Twisha Sharma, 33, was found hanging in her matrimonial home in Bhopal’s Katara Hills. The FIR named her husband and mother-in-law on allegations of dowry harassment.
The Kerala Police on Friday registered an FIR after an Indian Coast Guard (ICG) helicopter flew at a very low altitude over the Sannidhanam area of Sabarimala temple, a notified special security zone, without prior permission.
The Pampa Police on Friday registered a case under Section 118(e) of the Kerala Police Act in connection with threats to public safety.

According to the FIR, the helicopter, bearing registration number CG 821, was flown at a low altitude over the Sannidhanam four times without prior permission, in a manner that could endanger public safety, damage nearby buildings, and create panic among staff and others.

According to the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB), the incident happened around 11 am on Thursday.
Meanwhile, an investigation has been ordered into the incident. ADGP S. Sreejith, who is in charge of Sabarimala security, directed Special Commissioner R Jayakrishnan, appointed by the High Court, to investigate the incident and submit a report.
In this connection, Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) President K Jayakumar said there does not appear to be a security issue in the Coast Guard helicopter flying over the Sannidhanam area of Sabarimala without prior permission. He added that the Coast Guard had flagged a technical problem at the time of take-off.
